Healthcare Careers CODE BLUE awards scholarships of $1,000 or $500 each year to current healthcare college students or to high school seniors or adults who are entering healthcare programs that lead to certifications as healthcare professionals. Residents of Alamance, Caswell, Davidson, Davie, Forsyth, Guilford, Montgomery, Randolph, Rockingham, Stokes, Surry, and Yadkin counties are eligible to apply for the scholarships. Students enrolling in medical schools to become physicians or physician's assistants and students who are in pre-healthcare study programs are not eligible for CODE BLUE's scholarship program.

• Download the CODE BLUE Scholarship Application, complete, and mail to arrive no later than October 15th, 2010.
• Include two letters of reference - at least one must be from a teacher or current work supervisor while the second can be from a teacher, work supervisor, or person familiar with your academic or work performance.
• Include a copy of your acceptance letter into a healthcare program if you are a new student.
• Include a copy of your official transcript reflecting an acceptable GPA from most recent educational program.

DEADLINES TO APPLY! DATE SCHOLARSHIPS WILL BE AWARDED!

Application must be received by October 15, 2010. Scholarships will be awarded on December 1st at a special tea hosted by the CODE BLUE sponsoring hospitals. Recipients must be present at the tea to receive the scholarship check.
