NORTH CAROLINA ALLIED HEALTH EDUCATION CENTERS (AHEC)
North Carolina AHEC (Allied Health Education Centers) provides educational programs in partnership with academic institutions, healthcare agencies, and other organizations committed to improving the health of the people of North Carolina. The organization also offers many youth healthcare programs as well as producing a Health Careers manual which includes a comprehensive listing of health fields with descriptions of careers, salaries, and educational programs. The manual is available at the state website. Explanations of youth programs and other vital healthcare information are available both at the regional and state sites.
